The Transalpine Pipeline (TAL) is a joint venture of various mineraloil companies and transports crude oil to their refineries and tankfarms in Austria and Germany.
For the operation and the administration of the TAL installations in Germany, Austria and Italy three operating companies were founded with altogether ca. 200 employees.

These 3 companies are named as follows:
Deutschland Deutsche Transalpine Oelleitung GmbH, München
Österreich Transalpine Ölleitung in Österreich Ges.m.b.H., Kienburg 11, A-9971 Matrei in Osttirol
Italien Societá Italiana per l'Oleodotto Transalpino S.p.A., Triest
