2019 WILL BE A RECORD YEAR
On Thursday 31 January, Alessio Lilli, General Manager of TAL Group and President of SIOT, held the yearly meeting with the press and local stakeholders about 2018 performance and current targets, at the prestigious Caffè Tommaseo in Trieste.
“For TAL Group, 2018 was a year of continuity and new challenges – said Alessio Lilli. Last year 41.7 million tonnes of crude oil were unloaded from 465 tankers that reached the port of Trieste. 2019 will be a year of successful milestones, because shortly we will set a record for Europe: we will have unloaded at the Marine Terminal of the Port of Trieste 1.5 billion tonnes of crude oil since the Transalpine Pipeline started operating, while by midyear the 20 thousandth tanker will dock at our terminal”.
During the meeting, with the participation of several local authorities, great emphasis was given to scientific-technological research and safety: two core values for the company and sectors that last year received rewards for excellence at international level.
