Also TAL Group, with its Italian, Austrian and German branches, participates in the initiative #NoiSiamoMelegatti.
The company, that includes Siot, has decided to buy Pandoro Melegatti as a Christmas present for all the employees of the Group. This initiative together with those carried out by hundreds of companies and by the Investment Fund Open Capital, Abalone Asset Management and privates has enabled Melegatti, historic company in Verona, to recover from a period of crisis. Since September the confectionery company had not been able to pay its employees and began bankruptcy proceedings: thanks to the purchase of Christmas production, the employees will be able to receive their unpaid salaries.
“We decided to take part in this initiative – said President of TAL Group, Alessio Lilli – because with small individual actions together with the work of the community you can reach great results, we wanted to be part of this project that has brought strength and hope to over 300 people. The team spirit and the strength of a group have always been among the founding values of TAL Group”.
Roberto Colapinto, Chief Executive Officer of Abalone Asset Management highly appreciated the initiative promoted by Mr. Alessio Lilli, President of TAL and underlined that corporate social responsibility actions promoted by the Open Capital Fund are a first step towards the creation of a greater added value to the benefit of Italy’s economic and social fabric.
