{"id":11541,"date":"2024-02-18T12:33:46","date_gmt":"2024-02-18T10:33:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tal-oil.com\/?p=11541"},"modified":"2024-02-18T12:33:46","modified_gmt":"2024-02-18T10:33:46","slug":"tal-germany-safety-day-in-lenting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tal-oil.com\/en\/news\/tal-germany-safety-day-in-lenting","title":{"rendered":"TAL Germany Safety day in Lenting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first German edition of the new TAL safety program, focusing on Behaviour Based Safety, was held on the 7<sup>th<\/sup> February in Lenting.<\/p>\n<p>Behaviour based safety (BBS) is a proactive way aiming to increase safe behaviour in all areas of the company and to provide long-term solutions for eliminating risks and hazards. This life saving approach fosters a culture of safety in the workplace which is vital for lasting success.<\/p>\n<p>Within the global TAL Safety Culture Enhancement Program, General Manager Alessio Lilli and the HSSE-managers of partner companies signed during the Safety Day the self-commitment safety pact. Under the motto &#8220;Safety, it&#8217;s me&#8221;, around 50 safety representatives took part in this new TAL training program.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Safety has always been firmly anchored in our corporate culture as a fundamental value. Safety, health and protection of our employees and the environment are a constant motivation, challenge and responsibility that each individual must face every day,&#8221; emphasised General Manager Alessio Lilli in his welcome speech. &#8220;Every accident is one too many. That must be our daily aspiration&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>The TAL Safety Culture Enhancement Program was launched last year in order to strengthen and continuously improve the common safety culture and performances in all countries.<\/p>\n<p>Through dialogue, multi-level training and working groups, the HSSE-managers will act as multipliers to further raise awareness of safety and promote the commitment of everyone. &#8220;Overconfidence, time pressure and a lack of competence are the most common causes of accidents at work. All employees can play an active role in identifying risks and minimising them,&#8221; explains Sabatino De Sanctis, who led the training program. &#8220;Above all, we want to convey competence, coherence and courage as key messages to the safety representatives. They should encourage all employees to interrupt work and intervene proactively if they recognise misconduct, hazards or risks.
