37.2 million tonnes of crude oil discharged in 2021
else: ?>For SIOT, 2021 was a year of confirmation compared to 2020, with data showing an upward trend and heralding a positive 2022.
In fact, 425 oil tankers docked at the Marine Terminal last year and landed a total of 37,258,429 tonnes of crude oil.
“2021 was a year of substantial stability compared to the previous one – commented Alessio Lilli, President SIOT and General Manager of the TAL Group – the reflections of the lock-downs and the consequent slowdowns of the economic sectors that we supply to the European markets have a long wave, but already in the second half of last year we saw tangible signs of recovery. It is realistic to think that 2022 will see us as a leading player with growing numbers and our projections confirm this”.
The Transalpine Pipeline supplies the entire oil demand in southern Germany, with the regions of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg drawing 100% from the TAL Group infrastructure. The pipeline from Trieste also supplies Austria (90%) and the Czech Republic (50%).
