TAL PRESENTED THROUGHPUT 2018 IN INNSBRUCK
else: ?>In 2018 TAL Group transported a total of 41.6 million tonnes of crude oil from Trieste across the Alps supplying eight refineries in Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic.
TAL’s role was explained by Alessio Lilli, general manager of TAL, during a press conference held in Innsbruck. «From the beginning of the activities, 52 years ago, TAL has
pumped 1.5 billion tonnes in a safe and invisible way» – said Lilli.
Another goal will be met in 2019 when TAL will unload the 20 millionth tanker since the start of operations back in 1967.
A positive outcome also for the world’s first crude oil power plant located on the Salzburg side of the Felbertauern. To date the plant has generated approximately 14GWh overall energy that has been fed into the Salzburg Netz GmbH network.
This year TAL is going to invest about 2.4 million euros in Austria. Currently a multiannual programme is being carried out and involves the tanks at Austria’s TAL stations: they are being checked and carefully inspected for corrosion. Moreover the internal and external coating of the tanks is being redone. Works are currently being carried out in Gruben.
